WHAT IS TONER:

Toner is used for cleansing your skin of all the dust, dirt, grime, make-up residue, which still remains after washing your face. Moreover it moisturises, shrink the enlarged pores, controls acne and balances the PH level of the skin.

WHEN TO USE:

Toner is the essential skin product in our dally skin routine. After washing your face with cleanser or facewash tone your skin with a toner.

HOW TO USE:

Dip cotton pad in the toner and just dab or wipe it on your facial skin and let it absorb in your skin to get benefits. Another way is to fill in a spray bottle and store in refrigerator for 4-5 days. Just spray on your face. Do not rub the toner on skin or wash it off.

So now you know about toner and its benefits, here I am going to share some  amazing and effective diy toners which will not cost you much and are from natural ingredients.

Rose water toner: Now this the most common and one of my favourite toner as a part of my daily skin care routine. If your skin is not much problematic and is normal type then opt for it. Boil 2 cups of water and add 1 cup rose petals in it. Let them be in it. Switch off the flame and cool it. Strain the water and store in a spray bottle and its ready to use. This toner gives instant glow to your skin.

Cucumber toner: Peel and grate cucumber and strain with the help of a strainer by pressing with the help of a spoon. Collect it in a spray bottle. You can also add some rose water. Freeze in refrigerator in form of ice cubes and rub on your facial skin for few seconds. This toner helps in dark spots, pigmentation, dark under eye circles and minimize size of enlarged pores.

Cucumber Tomato toner: Grate a tomato, extract juice from pulp and mix with cucumber juice. Fill in spray bottle and shake it very well. You can also mix some rose water. This toner is very good for combination type skin.

Green tea toner: Boil 1/4 cup of water and add one tea bag, seep for 5-10 mins. Let it cool down. Fill in a spray bottle. This toner is good for oily skin. Helps in reducing break outs, acnes, puffiness of eyes and fight the signs of ageing.

Apple cider vinegar toner: Take 2 parts of distilled water and 1 part apple cider vinegar and mix the very well . Those who have sensitive skin can decrease the amount of acv due to its high acidic nature. Mint toner: Boil 1.1/2 cups of water and add 1 cup of mint leaves and cover it. Switch off the flame and let it cool down. Strain and store and its ready to use. As it is rich in salicylic acid so helps in treating pimples, gives cooling in summers and lightens dark spots and blemishes.

P.S: ( Take care of the hygienic conditions like washing your hands, ingredients, containers etc. before preparing and using. You can use twice daily after washing your face following by a moisturiser. Discard the toner if it gives bad odour as in summers due to electrcity cut it gets spoiled. Patch test recommended. Discontinue if it doesn' t suit you. Homemade recipes take time to give results but follow it religiously for effective result.
