Easy vegetable Purees Recipe for Babies

Easy vegetable Purees Recipe for Babies:



All the pediatrician recommend exclusive breastfeeding /formula feeding until the age of 6 months. After the completion of 6 months, it is the time to start with solid foods. You can try out these simple and easy vegetable baby food, it is healthy and wholesome.

#1. Carrot Puree
Let's start with a sweet treat, carrots are considered to be the healthiest food, it is a natural source of fiber, Vitamin K, potassium, antioxidants and of course beta-carotene.
Ingredients
1. Fresh carrot roughly chopped
2.1/2 cup of filtered water

Recipe
Take 1 washed and peeled carrot in a regular pan and add 1/2 cup of water to it. Allow the carrots to cook in low flame for about 15-20 minutes. Once the carrot is cooked fully, allow it to cool to room temperature. Now, blend the carrots along with water and make a fine puree.


#2. Green peas puree
Green peas are loaded with Vitamin A, C, folate, potassium, iron, calcium, and sodium.
Take a 1/4 cup of green pea and pressure cook in 1/4 cup of water for 1 whistle. Let the pressure release and allow the peas to cool. Blend the peas along with the remaining water, make sure the puree doesn't have any lumps.


#3. Pumpkin Puree
Pumpkins are perfect summer food and are high in beta-carotene, fiber, calcium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin A. It improves the overall digestion and have all the essential nutrients needed to build strong bones.
Cut pumpkin, remove the seeds and peel the skin. Take about 1/2 cup roughly chopped pumpkin and cook them in 1/4 cup of water until soft. Allow the cooked pumpkin to cool and blend it into a smooth puree.

#4. Spinach Apple Puree
The puree is high in iron content and tastes amazing due to the presence of sweet apple in it. Spinach Apple Puree is a wholesome meal which is full of nutrients like fiber, copper, calcium, antioxidants, Vitamin A, E, B6, B2.
Take 4-5 leaves of spinach and blanch it. Now, take a pan and cook roughly chopped apple until it becomes mushy. Blend the blanched spinach leaves and cooked apple together into a smooth puree.


#5. Sweet potato Puree
Sweet potato is a yummy baby food which is power packed with vitamin A, C, E, B1, B6 and is very helpful for overall body development.
Take 1 medium-sized sweet potato, peel the skin, slice it in half and steam in medium flame for about 15-20 minutes with enough water. Once the sweet potato is mushy switch off the flame and prepares a smooth puree.

#6. Avocado puree
Avocado is a super food which has its own natural flavor. It keeps the tummy full for a long time and has an abundance of zinc, copper, potassium, minerals, iron, folate, niacin, vitamin C. It helps to boost immunity and has natural anti-inflammatory properties that control inflammation.
Take a ripe avocado, cut in half and scoop out the pulp. You can mash the pulp with a spoon until it has the consistency of puree.
